Your kids used to play together. The husbands made the wooden fence which now stands between your properties and installed a gate between the two yards. Your neighbors have become your dearest friends. Bu they decide to move away and it seems to you that a part of your family is moving across the country.

You have promised to stay in touch and write to each other. You wonder what gift to choose so that it could carry a special meaning of your life together and could continue the closeness.

Here are a few suggestions for you:
1. If you are not good at writing you can call your neighbors regularly. Buy a long distance calling card to keep in touch. Look for card with a picture of the plant which your neighbor used to give you or two houses side by side. Choose the card which will carry the symbol of your friendship. 
      
2. Your neighbors will need to notify everyone about the change of their address. Buy a  Mail address change packet at the post office and fill out their old and new addresses.
      
3. Take a new address book and ask all the neighbors to fill it with their personal information.
      
4. Find your old photos  and create a picture book of all the moments you have shared together.
      
5. As a symbol of your friendship buy a plant or a small tree for your neighbors which they can plant in their new yard.
      
6. Look for or even write by yourself a poem of your friendship. Then type it or do calligraphy on to stationery and frame so that your neighbors could hang it in their new home.

7. Look for a door mat with their last name inscribed on it.

8. If your neighbors have a dog you can buy a new tag filled with its name, new address an phone number.
      
9. Look for a beautiful box of stationary. Stamp each envelope and write on them your address.
      
10. If their trip to their new home is going to be long you can make a picnic basket filled with their favorite goodies.
      
11. Your neighbors will have all their things unpacked when they arrive so you can put together a basket of canned meats, cheese.
      
12. Buy gift coupons from national pizza parlors, fast take out places.
